STOP PRESS!!

This is only Madrid! Apparently we've go to do it all again now, but this time have to stay above the fluffy things for 11 hours! 11 hours!? I'm going for a nap ...

More to follow.

A catch up plus part one of a new adventure

Its been all go. We've moved house - I did a lot of the co-ordinating from the windowsill as I was worried I might get lost in the packing bags - and now me Fox and Growlette are off to Peru to hike the Inca trail.

It all started with packing, and unpacking, and packing again. A tearful farewell to BBW Dolphine, Eyore and Soffit and then a swift trip to George's who was going to take us to the big flying machine garage the next morning.

Apparently they go fast, though I'm not sure they can go as fast as the rocket I built earlier in the year, and maybe not as fast as we went to George's ... Wedgie left us a few months ago, Fox said it wasn't anything I did to upset him, but now a new wizzy thing has arrived. We haven't named him yet, but he's definitely a he, and has heating and a radio and everything. He also goes really fast, though Fox was careful to reign him in at the various photo opportunities along the way.

It seemed no time at all after going to bed that the Fox was repacking bags AGAIN and me and G were safely stowed in her pocket and on our way to the garage. I've never been aware of the concept of 0300, but lots of other people seemed to know about it because there were big queues of them everywhere. I handed over my passport and was searched by security (they wanted to check I had nothing stashed in between my flippers) and then, after going through a gate which didn't look like any gate I've ever seen before, there it was, the inside of a flying machine!

Fox managed to get a window seat and we were right over the wing - good to keep checking its still there from time to time. G and I couldn't see anything at first but once the machine started moving the window cleared and I could see buildings flashing past. Then we had a really fast surge and we lifted into the air. G was a bit scared, but I just shouted yippeeeeeeee!! We passed through some fluffy things and then spent 2 hours looking at the fluffy things from above ... It was really sunny up there and I wanted to jump out and bounce on it, it looked like cotton wool, but Fox explained it was really cold and wet and a retired caped green wonder should really stay inside.

There was no food and no drink unless you had Euros which Fox didn't. We didn't mind about the food because we'd brought all of that with us, but we were very thirsty as we hadn't bought water because we thought it was free on the flying machine. Anyway, then my ears started to feel all funny and I saw that we were inside the fluffy things rather than above them, and soon we were underneath them again. I could see lots of little Wedgies and houses which got bigger and bigger until the flying machine stoped flying and landed on a big road.

HOLA! Hurray - we're here!

PS. Fox says photos will follow but blogger is messing around and they're not appearing ...

5.30am????

The Fox does this weird thing every now and then. She says she should do it more often but I'm not sure how she manages it as often as she does ... Having BBW wake her up at 5.30am! I ask you! Anyway, she took me with her this morning ...

We did a bit of running - only a mile, but I was starting to get bored because she forgot the headphones and I can't lip read so the news on the big picture things wasn't making much sense. We did some sitty uppy things on a big purple ball (I liked that) - Fox says I need to get my waist back in trim - I've spent too long sitting on badly shaped sitty things apparently and am now a bit 'wide' ... then we did some weight training.

I wanted to do it with the big dumbell, but I wasn't allowed. I did it with a little one though and after I'd done 3 sets of 15 chest presses I was pleased I hadn't done it with the big one. I think the likelihood of me being trapped under it would have been very high and in which case I would have been even wider and even flatter if that's possible ...

Anyway, here's me sizing up the dumbell.

Here's me lifting it ...

... and here's me doing a bit of posing in the mirror. (I saw some of the big boys doing it and thought it looked cool ...)
That was all followed by a lovely steamy shower with the Fox and we're now both buffed, moisturised and ready to face another day!

Searching ...

What a day! I could feel her calling me and I was drawn to many places which felt like they must be important to her.

First of all I felt a great pull to the park and in particular a grand and sage old tree thing which I could feel had a connection with Tina. I felt an urge to hug it, not in a frontwards way, but with my back to it, feeling its peace and wisdom permeating me -

- when all of a sudden I was whipped up into his branches and he spun me upwards as if to give me sight of the whole area which is important to my lovesick admirer.

I had seen from her blog that she had been at a home for big choo choo things and when my new friend the tree thing lifted me up I saw one, there in the distance - it was very small so it must have been a long way away. Maybe Tina was there? It didn’t take long to get there – and when I did I saw it was actually small – I scanned the area, but no I couldn't see her. Surely she must have been on it - it was a perfect size for us both after all. I wanted to get closer to her, so I asked if I could have a ride - maybe I would be inspired or drawn to somewhere else important to her. The big men wouldn't let me go on on my own, so BBW took me on – we had such fun and the guardsman let me ride on his shoulder on the way back. He was very pink, I think he must have been having fun.

Where next? BBW and the Fox were thirsty so we 'escaped' to a friendly bar for gin and tonics – they let me have a sip too, but I knew that Tina didn’t think it was big to drink so I didn’t have much.

I felt that I was getting even closer and as I gazed whistfully out of the window I saw another big choo choo home – maybe she was there.

BBW lifted me up and I could see the map which clearly showed Hernwich of Dulville and how you could get straight down a black line to that place called Brighton.

I went inside there was the mysterious looking television screen that Tina had looked at before she got on the choo choo thing (or steam monster as she had called it – I couldn’t see any steam, but maybe she was on a different kind).

I now knew that I was close but even though I called I didn’t hear a reply. The Fox said she thought she might know another way of contacting her so the BBW sent a text message thing to a friend of the Fox asking her to pass on a message to Tina. She said she would! Maybe I’m on my way to meeting her at last!

Mission F-possible ... the search for a stirrer

Can you believe my excitement? There is a certain Ms T Spoon out there who thinks that I am her Frog Prince -deep ribbits, burbles, gurgles and giggles ... ...

I need to find her and find myself strangely drawn to various landmarks in the Hernwich of Dulville area - investigating as we speak. I feel like Sherlock Frog ... So I've smoked my pipe, played the violin and am now embarking on an intrepid mission. Hope I don't meet the Hound of the Baskervilles ...!

Convention dictates, being a Sherlock Frog, that I should wear a Deer Stalker, however, unconventional amphibian that I am, I'm wearing a Fox Stalker instead as she is my partner in this investigation.

After my exertions on the Newcastle front, I thought my adventures were over; but I had to pack my napsack once again and depart for investigations.

I spoke to Wedgy (my blue fiesta'd friend) and he promised to guide me on his wise wheels, he also let me drive ...

to be continued ...

The best adventure so far

Just after Easter Foxette and I got to visit BBW with the Fox. It was one hell of an adventure and you can see my pictures here.

What can I say?

Easter Monday
We got up at the crack of dawn and went on the Big Choo Choo thing up to Newcastle to visit BBW. The first thing we did was go and get a bottle of brown!

After we'd settled into the hotel we headed out and about again on something called the Metro which BBW was very proud of (until we got in the same carriage as the Bank Holiday 'revellers' and then got stuck outside Jesmond station for longer than we'd have liked). We also walked for miles, went paddling, went on some seriously horrible twisty turny things one of which even the Fox didn't like; the Waltzer was particularly good, though BBW is convinced that it didn't use to spin quite so fast when he was a cub - shame we didn't get a picture of the G force effect on his face.(Ribbit, Ribbit!). We then drank fizz and ate chips on the beach and I can tell you after all the sea air we were all absolutely shattered.

Tuesday
This is the day we went to Beamish. I really learned a lot about my heritage that day. I went down a drift mine, sat on a netty, saw lots of big steamy things (not the netty! they don't get used anymore) and saw some very disturbing pictures of frogs with their insides showing in the big barbaric building thing which they called a school. Harumph - totally unnecessary. Fox and BBW took me out once they realised the extent of the trauma I was suffering. After that and a hectic trip back to Newcastle in the rattling bumpy thing I was bushed so I spent the rest of the night in watching the snooker.

Wednesday
This was the last day we all spent together. Fox got all excited about something called Lakeland Plastics and spent a fortune on CDs that she wanted but didn't need and we all went for an italian meal before Fox and Foxette headed back down to the big smoke.

So, its me and BBW for a while now. He's sourcing another frogcam and is planning lots of new outfits for me - I do like to dress up ... I'll keep you posted with more adventures soon.

A new friend!

I got back to my roots tonight and accompanied the Fox in the bathroom body wash department. I'm a veteran on the old bath activity, but tonight was my first shower. Not only did the Fox give me my own shower cap (not that I've got any hair to get mussed up of course) but she introduced me to my new bathroom friend. He's a bit flat and doesn't move much, but check out his swimming cozzy! Not as classic as my speedos but definitely eye catching! Haven't got a name for him yet but I'm sure something will be devised at some point.

Things!

Everything is a thing. And in the Fox's den (and surrounding environs) there are the following things:

The buzzy thing (electric tooth brush)
The wizzy thing (washing machine)
The whirly thing (carwash)
The ** beepy thing (alarm clock)
The burny thing (toaster)
The smally sucky thing (kitchen extractor hood)
and my new favourite thing ...
The big sucky thing.

Me and Foxette got to ride on it when BBW was doing some hoovering for the Fox the other day, and we enjoyed it so much that he rigged up the seat and now we're doing the cleaning for Fox and getting to bomb round the flat on the big sucky thing via remote control! Cool!

Yet another use for my helmet - Foxette should have one too I reckon, just to be safe!

As a bit of an antidote I've been introduced to Tolkein and am gradually working my way through the Lord of the Rings. I've already finished "The Fellowship of the Ring" and am half way through "The Two Towers" - check out the snazzy reading glasses BBW made for me. I have to wear them whenever I'm reading and also when I'm watching the TV - though I do find there's not much on the telly really - reading is more my thing.

Fox's friend George was a bit worried about me last night though. a) she spotted that she and Fox had gone out and left me reading in the dark so she is now concerned that I'm suffering from eyestrain and b) she felt that whilst Tolkein was worthy reading material, maybe some Jackie Collins would have been a little less 'heavy' for a Saturday night's entertainment. Fox isn't so sure about that and she's sure that BBW wouldn't approve of the content matter, especially as he banned me from finishing "Memoirs of a Geisha" ...

Anyway, me and George had a good old bop to Joss Stone and after a drop of pink champagne which she'd brought to christen the Fox's new flat she taught me a new way to sleep on my front with a gap between my legs ... Seems to be important to her, something to do with leaving a space for the cats to squeeze in bed with her. Strange!

I think I look particularly studious - don't you?
